Deloitte
Deloitte’s biggest strength (its scale) was starting to become a strategic tax. The market saw the firm as a massive collection of disparate services rather than a unified brand. When a new CEO demanded one single brand narrative, we had to solve a positioning crisis while empowering individual business lines.
CHALLENGE
The market saw Deloitte as a collection of disparate services rather than a unified brand. We needed to create a rallying cry for that both the people inside the organization and our clients could easily understand.
INSIGHT
The secret sauce of Deloitte isn't the sheer amount of expertise in the building; it’s the power of bringing those domain experts together. A tech firm can talk about AI; a policy firm can talk about regulation. But only Deloitte can put an AI strategist, a government policy leader, an environmental scientist, and a power grid specialist in the same room to solve the data center energy crisis. Our core product isn't service delivery—it’s convening power.
SOLUTION
To get buy-in across 6,000 equity partners without triggering corporate organ rejection, we treated our stakeholders as co-creators. We embarked on an intense listening tour, embedding the strategy across consulting, tax, and emerging areas. We landed on “Together makes progress” as our first-ever global tagline and brand platform.
We translated it into bespoke messaging architectures for every business line and fed it directly into C-suite talking points, building grassroots corporate momentum until it became the firm's shared language.
RESULTS
We turned a brand positioning exercise into a direct revenue driver. Accounts exposed to the 'Together Makes Progress' platform generate significantly more revenue than those that are not.
It added $2.4 billion in brand value to the firm by proving to enterprise clients that Deloitte is the only partner capable of solving systemic, multi-disciplinary challenges.
